The Midlands National Flying Club and British International Championship Club joint Bordeaux (Code 5007) Blue Riband Race 2020 Saturday 18th July 2020
The committee members of the MNFC and BICC are pleased to announce a joint initiative to hold a race from Bordeaux in 2020. *** Download details here
The birds will be marked on Thursday 16th July 2020. Each club will mark as per a normal race at their normal and respective marking stations, and the birds will be convoyed and liberated jointly.
Each organisation will produce their own results, including prize and pool money as for any other race, however the MNFC and BICC will work together to produce an overall top 100 result.
The two clubs will endeavour to secure some sponsorship and prizes to allocate towards the combined top 100 result and in addition all of the top 100 pigeons will receive prize cards (From the combined number of pigeons liberated).
This joint initiative means that the transportation and logistics costs can be shared, for the benefit of both clubs and of course more importantly the members, in order to not only achieve a quality distance National race with a significant entry, but also an exciting overall combined top one hundred open result.
The clubs have agreed the following :
That no duplication will be allowed.
The entry fees will be £5.50 per pigeon.
That all birds must be entered in either the MNFC or BICC via the respective race entry processes and marking stations.
The MNFC and BICC race controllers will work jointly together to enact the liberation.
The overall top 100 will be published in the pigeon press. We hope that the members of both organisations join in and support what should be a very exciting and prestigious channel race.
